Monday, Monday, Monday!

So many people dread Monday morning.  The start of the work week, 5 more days till the weekend, job and family responsibilities, you name it!  Basically, how to juggle it all and find balance.  I have always looked forward to Monday morning.  Crazy as it sounds, to me it’s always been a reboot!  Let’s see what I can do different this week, what can I accomplish, be it personal or professional, or both.  

For many years my career was consumed with traveling, staying in hotels, business lunches/dinners, and not being home as often as I liked.  And when I got home, I just wanted to chill out.  Since then the dynamics have changed, which has opened up a whole new set of challenges in my life.  Before, I had places I had to be, responsibilities via my job, conference calls and someone I reported to.  

Now, I am accountable to no one but myself!  Not to say that the many hats I wear don’t come with responsibility, i.e, preparing a workout  for a client, finding the right wellness events  for my husband’s automotive dealership to partner with, my education and growth needs, both professionally and personally.  Of course, then there’s the household responsibilities we all tackle.

And let’s not forget our relationships!  Be it children, spouses, aging parents, friendships….all of this sometimes feels like way to much for many of us to wrap our arms around.  Ahh, so what’s the solution?  If there is one thing I’m certain of it’s that I don’t have the answer!  But what I do have, is a space like this to help each other “Embrace A Full Life”!  And I believe what that entails, starts with good nutrition, physical activity, sleep, (yes, sleep), and taking care of yourself mentally, spiritually….wherever those paths lead you.  I’m looking at this blog to be a little about my journey, which will include some of my daily challenges, ideas, tips, recipes, workouts…you name it.  Let’s get this party started!
